Nen Rae had only meant to take a walk through Ufan Forest. But something called to her. A whisper, a pull from beyond. Before she could understand what was happening, reality shifted, and she found herself standing in another dimension.

A child stood before her, smiling. For a moment, everything was still. Then, the air behind him twisted. A shadow loomed. The Dark Drifter.

Before Nen could react, the entity surged forward, passing straight through the child and straight through her. A force unlike anything she had ever felt hurled her backward, and in the blink of an eye, she was back in her own world. But something had changed. Something had followed her through.

She had set the Dark Drifter free.

Her grandmother had once told her the old legend, how some children were born with the ability to drift between dimensions. But those who lingered too long were consumed, lost to the dark forever. Nen had never truly believed it. Not until now. Because of her, the darkness had found its way into their world.

But if she was the one who set it free, then she would be the one to stop it.
